You can find out more about the ship

Celebrity Apex is the second in the cruise line's Edge series - a new class of ships that focuses on bringing the ocean closer to passengers through new spaces and features. The smart, unstuffy design was created by a team of top interior designers, including Kelly Hoppen CBE, Tom Wright and Nate Berkus.

The ship has a number of entertainment options, including the Eden Theatre which was recently remodeled. It now features one show every night on seven-night cruises. Staterooms, suites and other accommodations

There are several categories of rooms available, ranging in size from king to suites with ultra-luxurious features like the Edge Villas or Iconic Suites. A balcony is included in most staterooms, but some also have an outdoor plunge-pool.

A touchscreen is also available in each stateroom, allowing you to adjust the lighting and temperature. The majority of staterooms feature a king size bed. Some also have queen-sized beds.

Kids and Teens

Celebrity Apex offers plenty of fun activities for kids thanks to its Camp at Sea program. There are over 500 activities, which change depending on the itinerary and guest.

Dining

There is a good selection of bars on board. Some are free and others charge a flat fee. We particularly liked Craft Social, which focuses on pub grub - including glazed chicken wings and truffle fries - but there are also a few main dining room options.

Oceanview Cafe Buffet is now lighter and bigger than ever. It also has a double height space, which makes it feel even more spacious. The service can be a little slow, but the food is good.

Entertainment

It's a pity that the cruise line did not have time to add additional entertainment to Apex prior to our cruise. If they had, we would have been able to enjoy some fantastic nights out. The Eden theatre, though, has been revamped completely, with each show featuring a separate theme - Night of Dreams, Night of Arts, Night of Enchantment and Night of the Year - and they're all very high quality.

Even the fitness center has been updated, and now features classes as well as the latest equipment. This is a significant upgrade from Edge. And, as with the rest of Celebrity's fleet, you can get a massage or spa treatment while enjoying views of the water.

What's more, there's a vast array of things to do on the Resort Deck, from the Magic Carpet cantilevered venue that moves 13 stories above the sea so you can enjoy just-above-the-sea dining and sunset celebrations to an adults-only solarium that provides respite from the sun.

The entertainment options are endless, from live shows and comedy clubs to movie theaters and game shows. The resort deck has its own swimming pool and a club that offers laser mazes as well games and kid-friendly activities.

How To

How to stay safe while on a cruise ship

On a cruise ship, there are many things you should know before embarking on your journey. It is essential that you know how to behave while onboard a cruise ship so you don’t get into trouble. Here are some safety tips to help you enjoy your trip.

  1. Pay attention to your surroundings at all costs. On cruise ships, people often congregate, especially at mealtimes. It's easy to become distracted from your duties because you're surrounded by people who want to chat and eat. Do not let people distract you from your task. If you spot someone using dangerous substances, such as smoking or alcohol, let them know politely.
  2. Your room key should always be with you on board the ship. You'll be easily found if something happens. You should also have your passport on you.
  3. Keep valuables hidden from view. Most cabins include drawers under the beds. That's a great place to store valuables such as passports, credit cards, and money. You should also make sure that nothing of value is visible. Your bags should be kept in the closet, so that no one can see them.
  4. Keep hydrated. Even though cruise ships are well-stocked with water, it can sometimes be hard to remember how much. Take advantage of the free bottled water available throughout the ship. Avoid becoming dehydrated. Dehydration can lead to fatigue, crankiness, and even fights.
  5. Attention to announcements. Announcements appear everywhere, including on TV screens or public address systems. These announcements include safety procedures, emergency exits and weather reports. These announcements need to be taken seriously. They could save your life.
  6. Never leave your cabin unlocked. Never leave your cabin unlocked, no matter how friendly a crew member seems. Many thieves break into cabins by stealing the doors. You should ask the crew for permission before you use the restroom.
  7. Avoid going alone overboard. It can take some time for the ship's crew and you to be rescued from the water. Sharks and other marine creatures might be attracted to you while you wait. The best thing to do is wait until help arrives.
  8. Never smoke inside the elevator. These elevators have high pressure, so smoke can build-up quickly. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, get off immediately. You can still breathe even though it is outside fresh.
  9. Be familiar with the evacuation procedures. Each year, thousands of people die after being trapped in elevators. Follow the screen instructions in case of an emergency.
  10. Be familiar with the fire drill. Fire drills are held regularly, often once per day. Everyone on deck must evacuate when there is a drill. Follow the crew members' instructions. After the drill is completed, return to your cabin and lock it.
  11. Ask questions before accepting food or drinks. Cruisers are often concerned about food poisoning. People don't know that certain foods are not safe to be eaten while aboard a ship. For example, raw oysters are forbidden aboard most cruise ships. If you're unsure whether or not the food you've been offered is safe, politely refuse and look for another meal instead.
  12. When using the pool, be careful. There have been numerous instances of people accidentally falling into the pools. This is a common occurrence. You can also slip and fall off the deck at any moment. Always wear appropriate footwear and pay close attention to what's around you.
